Bassel & The Supernaturals, led by first generation Syrian-American Bassel Almadani, uses soulful melodies, funk inspired rhythms, and captivating lyrics to tell powerful stories using the transformative power of the arts. Influences include Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, and Steely Dan. Bassel & The Supernaturals perform throughout hundreds of cities in North America in addition to building awareness for Syrian refugees and conducting educational programs in local schools. The band’s national television debut came in 2024 when PBS selected them to represent their hometown of Chicago in The Express Way. Other major performance venues include the John F. Kennedy Center, The Cleveland Museum of Art, and Millennium Park in addition to a trip to Istanbul in 2019. They continue to tour the country, spreading their message of hope through their music wherever they travel.
