JIMI “PRIMETIME” SMITH AND BOB CORRITORE BLUES BAND: With Special Guest Carla Denise
Community Performing Arts Center Foundation
Green Valley, 85622
How to get there
For more than a decade this valley-based blues band has rocked concert venues, national festivals, and has recently returned from Europe. These expert purveyors of the Chicago blues sound are sure to rock CPAC!
Bob Corritore is considered among the top traditional blues harmonica players on the scene today. Additionally, he is the owner of the Rhythm Room in Phoenix, AZ, the founder of Southwest Musical Arts Foundation, and a grammy nominated harmonica player and producer.
Jimi “Primetime” Smith, son of Blues woman Johnnie Mae Dunson, is likely the only person who can say that he was homeschooled on guitar by Jimmy Reed and Eddie Taylor. He is also one of the few guitarists on the present scene who learned early on how to accompany blues pianists such as Sunnyland Slim and harmonica players such as Big Walter Horton.
Having performed with top bands across the country, longtime vocal collaborator Carla Denise brings a seamless fusion of vocal excellence, professionalism, and genuine connection.
