Has the law always seemed like an alien and scary world to you? Now is your chance to get a rare “insider’s view” of the law from Jack Lasseter, who spent 40 years of his life as a practicing lawyer, judge pro tem, JAG officer, military judge, prosecutor and defense attorney. He will share fascinating information, like why do judges wear robes, how did sheriffs get that name, where did the jury come from, why do we have rules of evidence, what law school is like and how do law students learn the law, how can lawyers defend guilty people, and does the law do its job?
