It was a hot and humid summer in Philadelphia in the year 1787 when delegates from the various states got together to create a Federal Government. It was not the best temperature for such an arduous task, but it couldn’t wait. Something had to be done if we were to survive as one people. Come and hear the fascinating story of how these diverse contesting states, some big and some small, some rich and some poor, some commercial and some rural, some of one religion and others of another, some slave-holding and some not, all were able to get together and create one central government.
