The era of “Classic Rock” was a revolution that created enduring hits that are loved by all generations. And instrumental music was a vital part of that transformational time from Surf-Rock, R&B and Fusion.

Great Artists like The Ventures, Chuck Mangione, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Quincy Jones created #1 seeking instrumental records. Top Hits like Green Onions, Pick Up The Pieces, Wipe Out, Classical Gas mixed with TV themes including Hawaii 5-0 and Movie music such as Star Wars and others captured the imagination and air waves of the time.

Tucson Little Big Band conveys the magic of that era with original arrangements of energetic instrumental hits from the era along with their take on songs by The Beatles, Elton John, Chicago, Elvis Presley and Bruno Mars among others.

They also feature vocals of classics by Linda Ronstadt, Carole King, Aretha Franklin and more.

Tucson Little Big Band came out of the Covid lockdown when there was no venue to play music. It started in a backyard and has grown to an 8+1 piece ensemble that features Brian Folkes, Todd Martin & Greg Smith on horns, a 5 piece rhythm section featuring Jason Blair, John Dean, Pete Fine Nicole Mariani & Pete Schnittman plus vocalist Erin Recuparo.
