How to get there
Roman Rudnytsky is an American concert pianist of Ukrainian background. Born in New York into a family of distinguished musicians, he is a graduate of the Juilliard School. He has performed for years around the world and has now played concerts in 100 countries and on about 80 cruises of Cunard and P&O ships. Mr. Rudnytsky has been soloist with many orchestras around the world playing through the auspices of US Embassies and Consulates as a kind of “cultural ambassador”. He has won prizes in ten international and national piano competitions.
Roman Rudnytsky was also for many years a university professor of piano and music, mostly at Youngstown (OH) State University—Dana School of Music, where he received a “Distinguished Professor Award”. Upon retirement from there in 2011, he was awarded the title “Professor Emeritus”. Roman now has his own YouTube channel, where he performs and provides talks about composers and classical music.
This concert will feature selections by Chopin, Beethoven, Ravel, Schumann, Gershwin, Mussorgsky, and Poulenc.
