Brought together as young musicians by Arizona bluegrass and fiddle festivals, Matt and Rebekah Rolland have spent the last decade shaping a signature sound that blends old-time traditions with contemporary influences. As core members of the nationally acclaimed band Run Boy Run, they appeared twice on A Prairie Home Companion and served as artists-in-residence for the National Parks Centennial. Their current project, RISO, channels the acoustic landscapes of their youth while weaving in pop flourishes and intricate arrangements. Their latest album, New Eyes, was named a top album of 2022 by For Folk’s Sake, and their earlier project, Seed & Silo, was praised as "a slice of folk perfection" by Americana UK.
